How This Kentucky District Transformed Identity and Access Management with ClassLink
Estill County Schools and ClassLink
Summary: Estill County Schools technology leaders needed a more efficient approach to Identity and Access Management (IAM). Using ClassLink's OneSync and Roster Server “one-stop shop” solutions, the district was able to customize the student and staff data they share with vendors on a granular level, allowing them to transform their data-sharing processes.
Learning Impact: Estill County Schools was able to significantly improve access to digital resources for 2,300 students and reduce the time IT staff spent manually provisioning applications and updating student and staff information, giving them back hours every day they could dedicate to other technical issues.
LearnWiz One: Completely New Opinion-Gathering Platform that Motivates and Aids in Online Learning
1EdTech Japan Society Award Winner
Summary: LearnWiz One is a web platform that can encourage an effective exchange of ideas and increase student engagement. The platform allows instructors to create an environment where learners can articulate their notions and discourse with others. The platform is designed in the active learning Think-Pair-Share methodology.
Learning Impact: Learners encounter a myriad of perspectives from diverse classes and academic tiers, thereby facilitating profound comprehension. This intellectual interchange fosters autonomous learning, bolstering critical thinking and metacognitive aptitude. This approach stimulates proactive learning, and based on extant active learning research, learners are expected to attain elevated levels of educational efficacy and enhance their proficiency in the subject matter, as evidenced by formative or summative evaluations.
MagicBox Helped Lab-Aids Provide Differentiated and Personalized Learning Experiences to Students
MagicBox and Lab-Aids
Summary: Lab-Aids is a nationwide provider of instructional materials catering to diverse educational systems. They support all types of educational institutions, from large districts with hundreds of schools to single private schools. With a need for a robust digital learning platform to accommodate the needs of different types of schools and districts, MagicBox provided a path to migrate products to a better content delivery platform and onboard their users to a more sophisticated licensing platform.
Learning Impact: The partnership resulted in the successful migration of 300 legacy content, 15,000+ user accounts, 330+ schools, and 50+ school districts onto the cloud. Existing content, designed for print delivery, was also converted to HTML, providing a seamless channel for students to submit responses to discussions, homework, and assessment questions.
Singapore Quality Institute and MaivenPoint
Summary: For years, the Singapore Quality Institute (SQI), an organization that helps with professional development, struggled to successfully transition to digital training, create seamless learning experiences, and automate student processes. SQI set a goal to unify the learner experience and support the Singapore SkillsFuture initiative by increasing student registration and engagement as part of a country-wide mission.
Learning Impact: Once implemented, MaivenPoint Curricula, a learning management system integrated with Microsoft 365, saved them over 2,500 hours per year by using sophisticated course creation and lesson delivery features, and it is estimated that they will have an over 1 million USD return on investment in five years. MaivenPoint Curricula allowed SQI to virtualize training and delivery and automate student processes—like digitized attendance tracking, grading, lesson plan assistance, and grants operation alignment with SkillsFuture—at scale all within Microsoft Teams.
