Community and Collaboration
1EdTech powers learner potential by bringing stakeholders together. Ongoing collaborative projects and global events are a great way to be a part of shaping the future of edtech.
TrustEd Apps™ Program
The 1EdTech community is creating a center of gravity around what it means to build trust in your digital ecosystem. The key elements of the program include:
- TrustEd Apps Pledge: A call to action to put open standards and data privacy at the forefront of the edtech ecosystem. Over 250 leading education and technology organizations have endorsed the pledge.
- TrustEd Apps Management Suite (TAMS): Over 400 districts (and soon higher ed institutions) use the TAMS dashboard to give teachers and faculty an easy view of the digital learning tools that safely fit into your environment.
- TrustEd Apps Professional Certification: 1EdTech recognized 44 members as TrustEd Apps Certified Leaders. The TACL program is designed for education and technology leaders to build their knowledge and skills on the effective implementation of 1EdTech open standards and how they impact instruction.
- TrustEd Apps Certification and Self-Assessment Rubrics: When designing educational experiences, product certification and self-assessment rubrics can help save time and meet the unique needs of teachers and learners.
1EdTech's TrustEd Apps Management Suite (TAMS) displays product vetting and certification details for thousands of apps, allowing educators to see how different products will work within their ecosystem. The collaborative elements in TAMS let users share insights into how effective, secure, and accessible those products are.
Conferences & Events
More than 1,100 edtech professionals joined 1EdTech at 2023 in-person events, including the Digital Credentials Summit, Learning Impact Conference, 1EdTech Europe Conference, Fall Technical Meeting, and the K-12 Leaders Forum & Senior Executive Summit.
These gatherings inspire innovative solutions, introduce partnership opportunities, and reinvigorate our mission to power learner potential through an open, trusted, innovative edtech ecosystem.
Microcredentials in Practice
The Wellspring Initiative was named an exemplar in EDUCAUSE's Horizon Report Teaching & Learning Edition, published in May 2023.
In March 2023, Working with the Northeastern University Center for the Future of Higher Education and Talent Strategy, 1EdTech published research on how education credentials are captured and managed in talent management systems as well as the role of skills and frameworks on the products' roadmap. Read the final report.
1EdTech's Wellspring is a multi-year initiative to bridge the gap between learning and work using open standards. 1EdTech open standards capture verifiable achievements and skills to empower individuals, while Wellspring connects educators and employers to ensure those skills are valuable in the job market.
Innovation Leadership Networks
The K-12 and Higher Education Innovation Leadership Networks (ILNs) are the collaboration arm for 1EdTech's institutional and state members.
Each group focuses on a compelling need or topic and develops strategic resources to help the education community enable digital transformation. Their work also helps to inform current and future 1EdTech technical projects.
